Comments from Dad

"When the newspaper came with the information about the signing of the Armistice, I had to go out to the field to show Dad. Later we mounted an old dinner bell on the hood of the Model T Ford, which Mont and I rang in the parade celebrating this event. Mom (Myrna Bardeen) decorated hats for everyone to wear as well. Dad (Dealton Bardeen) took a picture to commemorate this event."

Ross and Mont are in the front; sitting on the flat fenders of the Model T. Sitting in the passenger seat is Glenn Bardeen with Reed on his lap. Behind him, going left to right, are Myrna Bardeen, then the school teacher who was living with them at that time, and finally Grace Bardeen.
